Hilary Burns - Tours Manager/Management Associate

Hilary joined NTC in 1995 after moving down from Glasgow where she had been a lecturer in IT at Langside and Anniesland College.

She became involved in the arts and entertainment world and learned all about the delights and complications of touring when she worked for Lindisfarne during the 70s.

Hilary understands touring theatre to rural areas from the theatre company point of view as tour manager and also from the other side as a promoter in her own rural village hall.

She is also on the team which runs the hugely popular annual Alnmouth Arts Festival.

Hilary has worked on more than 50 productions for Northumberland Theatre Company and knows where all the skeletons are kept in the Playhouse!
